Active vessels
Vessels that have been engaged in any fishing operation (more than 0 fishing days) during a calendar year.
Inactive vessels
Vessels that have not engaged in any fishing operation during a year (0 fishing days).
Number of vessels by region
The number of vessels with more than 0 fishing days in a Region (Appendix II).
Note: As a vessel may operate in more than one fishing region in a given year, the sum of the number of vessels by Region may be greater than the sum of the number of vessels in the MS fleet in that year.
